Booking terms and conditions
By making a booking or paying a final balance or arriving on site you are accepting the terms and conditions below;
1) Reservation and Payment:
a) You can make a booking request by text, telephone, or email. We will send you an email with details of how to pay, by paying our non-refundable deposit, you agree to and accept these terms and conditions.
b) We have opted for a small but non-refundable deposit of 15%,. You can either pay a deposit now or if you pay the final balance now, as long as you cancel within two weeks you will receive a refund of all but 15%. If you cancel after the 14 days, you will not receive a refund as we will not have time to resell your pitch.
c) We currently can only receive money by bank transfer, please notify us when you have made a payment, quoting your booking reference number.
d) We are sorry to say that there are NO refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals, or early departures. There is a lot to be said for camping when the weather turns.
e) The final balance date for payment is two weeks before your arrival. If you cancel more than two weeks before you travel date you will receive a refund of 85% of your total booking fee if you have paid in advance.
f) All bookings who want to camp together must inform us in advance to ensure being able to camp together.
g) We only accept groups of families and we do not accept groups of youths or single sex groups without children.
2) Check in and check out
a) Arrival is any time between midday and 9pm on Friday and departure is before midday on Sunday.
b) All arrivals must check in at Centre Camp.
c) If you arrive after dark or after 8pm whichever is earlier, please let us know in advance you are coming late and do not drive in the fields after dark to look for you camp. We will guide you to your spot.
d) There are no discounts or refunds for late arrivals or early departures, all bookings are for two day weekends.
e) Day visitors need to check in at the reception on arrival.
f) Day visitors can attend for free On Friday and Saturday between the hours of 12 – 8pm. If they want to stay past 8pm, the full camping fee applies.
g) The Centre Camp closes at 9pm.
3) Quiet hours
a) Quiet hours must be respected between 11pm and 7am across the whole site.
b) At the Lower field there is a no music rule.
c) We do allow music in the Top field, but please note that the rule is you should not be able to hear the music at your neighbour’s camp.
d) Not adhering to the quiet times will result in you being asked to leave the site.
4) Campfire regulations
a) You must keep fires withing established fire pits. There are several fixed fire pits around the site. If you wish to make a fire outside of these pits, you must protect the meadow from further burn marks by using your own fire pit or by hiring one from us.
b) You must NOT collect firewood from the neighbours’ land or woods or from any wood piles on the site, which are meant for wildlife.
c) We do permit you to bring your own firewood with you or buy it from the Centre Camp.
d) Never leave a fire unattended, and ensure it is fully extinguished before leaving.
e) Never use petrol of paraffin to start your BBQ or fire.
5) Pet policies
a) We do allow dogs at £8 per weekend or £4 per day for a day visitor with a dog.
b) You are responsible for clearing up after your dog.
c) You are responsible for your dog entirely. do not allow them to disturb wildlife or other campers
d) If you have to leave the site with your dog because of their behaviour, we will not refund you the cost of your stay.
6) Driving on site
a) Maximum speed of 3 miles per hour (walking speed) applies across the whole site. Anyone driving too fast will be asked to leave the site immediately.
b) There is no driving at all on the Lower Fields. We accept no responsibility for any vehicles stuck on the slopes.
c) Campervans can camp only on the Upper Field.
d) you may not drive on site under the influence of alcohol.
7) Waste disposal and recycling guidelines
a) We will provide waste facilities on site for disposal of general rubbish. You are responsible for separating waste onsite and taking it to the rubbish collection point near the exit.
b) There is no power on site, and we do not permit the use of generators and other equipment on site without prior agreement.
8) Safety and Security:
a) In the event of an emergency please inform us at Centre Camp. Report incidents or issues as soon as you are aware of them.
b) In the event of an emergency where we have to get cars off the site, please wait in a safe area away from hazards until you are guided out safely.
c) First Aid facilities are located at Centre camp.
d) There are fire points near the exits and entrances of the fields, with firefighting equipment (fire buckets and blankets) for small fires.
e) Do not attempt to tackle fires that can’t be put out with a bucket of water and do NOT use water for electrical fires!
f) Dry powder fire extinguisher for electrical fires can be found at Centre Camp.
g) Do not use gas or charcoal fires in enclosed spaces.
h) Campsite boundaries are shown on the map available on arrival, you are restricted to these areas with the exception of the public footpath that runs through the site offering access to the High Weald Trail. Do not trespass to the neighbouring land.
i) Do not park you car withing 6m of a fire pit.
9) Facilities and Amenities:
a) Showers are available at Centre Camp, they are available at any time during you stay.
b) Compost toilets are available on site, instructions for their use are posted within.
c) There are no flushing toilets or power on site.
d) The Sauna is available for all to use on Saturday evening 6 pm- 9 pm and can be hired privately Friday evening or Saturday day you will book and pay for the sauna at least an hour before you plan to use it, in order that we can heat it.
e) Children under 16 using the sauna must be accompanied by an adult.
f) Maintenance schedules include daily cleans of all facilities, please notify us immediately if you find they need extra cleaning,
g) Tables, benches, washing stations and fire pits are for you use during your stay; you are responsible for looking after them.
h) We cannot accept motorhomes or caravans, we do not have hard standings or electrical hook-ups.
10) Code of Conduct:
a) We expect you to be polite and respectful of all our staff, and other campers. Any breach of this policy will result in your being asked to leave the site.
b) You are not permitted to leave and litter anywhere on the site. You are required to use the rubbish collection point at the centre camp.
c) Leave no trace: Leave you pitch as you found it.
d) Respect wildlife and do not disturb their habitat. Stay on designate trails to protect sensitive ecosystems and do not pick, cut or disturb vegetation.
11) Liability and Waivers:
a) Sunnyside pop up camping assume no liability for personal injury or property damage, or theft while camping with us.
b) Requirement for campers to assume certain risks to themselves and their property that are reasonable to expect when camping, including the use of open fires.
12) Communication:

b) Dispute Resolution: In the event of a complaint, please contact site staff immediately complaints that are not brought to the attention of Sunnyside pop up camping cannot be dealt with after you have left the site.
c) We reserve the right to update terms and conditions and will post them on the website in advance of your stay.
